Learn about asthma using stories

The Big Bad Wolf has asthma and can't blow the piggies houses down!

We support councils and NHS partnerships to help communities to understand child asthma, using stories.

BreathChamps has toured libraries and schools right across Greater Manchester telling the story of the Three Little Pigs to over 5,000 children and families. But of course, there's a twist..The Big Bad Wolf is poorly and he needs children to help him to take his asthma inhalers.

Children learn how the inhalers work, inhaler technique and first aid for an asthma attack. Children are encouraged to look out for others with asthma and spread asthma knowledge, so the health literacy of the whole community increases.

Sixth form volunteering

We also offer a volunteering programme for sixth formers where we teach students how to tell the story in feeder primary schools - ideal for Duke of Edinburgh candidates and those writing their personal statements for university applications.
